Sinopsis
Sebuah kisah dengan latar belakang gagalnya Perjanjian Linggarjati, yang tentu didekati dengan sikap romantik, baik terhadap kepahlawanan, maupun kisah cinta di baliknya. Markas Besar tentara di Yogya memutuskan untuk menarik semua kereta api yang ada ke Yogya. Alat angkut ini penting untuk transportasi. Untuk itu ditugaskan Letnan Sudadi (Rizawan Gayo), Letnan Firman (Pupung Harris), dan Sersan Tobing (Bangun Sugito) untuk mengawal semua kereta yang akan diberangkatkan dari stasiun Purwokerto, dengan kerja sama Kol. Gatot Subroto (Soendjoto Adibroto). Sudadi mengawal kereta yang pertama, Firman dan Tobing mengawal kereta terakhir. Perjalanan kereta terakhir yang penuh hambatan ini yang jadi pokok cerita: pengungsi yang memadati kereta, serangan-serangan Belanda, dll. Diutarakan juga kepahlawanan para pegawai kereta api, terutama kondektur Bronto (Deddy Sutomo). Dan diselipkan kisah cinta antara Firman dan dua Retno yang ternyata merupakan gadis kembar.
